The One is a global 1v1 basketball tournament, with qualifiers in over 15 cities including Manila. Being one of its markets, this was a big deal for Nike Southeast Asia & India. I interviewed the three local finalists; telling the inspirational stories of how each of them rose from the barangays to the finals. Naturally, some product mentions were in order too. As the work was featured on the Nike App, I also wrote the notifications and in-app drivers to push traffic to the articles.
The extra fun part? The One’s tonal identity is all about edgy street swagger and charismatic individuality. I was more than happy to bake this into each writeup, capturing how our champs are confidently shattering expectations and making it all look too easy.
